Campus Engagement Training Program

The Office of Access and Institutional Excellence is offering the Campus Engagement Training Programs (CETP), a workshop series designed to strengthen campus-wide capacity for inclusive engagement across race, identity, religion, gender, sexual orientation and other forms of difference. Rather than treating diversity and belonging as isolated topics, CETP takes a holistic approach that emphasizes empathy, cultural humility, meaningful dialogue and collaboration across differences.

CETP offers a full-day training each month (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), featuring four core trainings: Students of Color Ally Training, Difficult Conversations Training, LGBTQ+ Ally Training and Religious Diversity and Pluralism Training.

Participants receive a placard for each training they complete and may complete the four training workshops at their own pace throughout the academic year. Upon completing and submitting all four placards, participants receive a CETP Letter of Completion, recognizing their commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming Rice community.
